Something Fun
My eight-year-old daughter is writing a book about Big Foot. LOL. I’m not sure where the whole Big Foot thing came in, but I LOVE that she’s working on a book. She started writing by hand a little over a week ago and has four pages so far. Tonight I set her up on the computer so she can start typing it on there. I was giddy watching her sit at the computer to type out her book.
I’ve always loved to write. I remember really liking my writing assignments in school. We had a couple essay contests when I was in elementary school and I was always excited to join those, but I was never motivated to try and write a book at that age… not even a four page one. Honestly I was quite a bit older, probably high school the first time I tried and I think I only made it to her four page mark! LOL.
It’s awesome to see. More info on Big Foot coming soon…
If you’re a writer, when did you start trying to write your first book.

Sooooooo cute!!!! I bet she’s a little writer genius! (she’s got the awesome talented genes)
Last year my daughter started writing about a rainbow. It’s fun to see your kids be creative.
Aww!
I started writing around the same age as your daughter, I think, possibly a little earlier. I can’t remember exactly what my first story was about, but I believe it had something to do with animals!
I was nine years old. I loved vampires.
She sounds so sweet.
Love the new website – very pretty.
And this is so cool about your daughter. My son has been doing the same thing and I love it! It’s so much fun to watch them create their own stories.
